Attorney Profile

If given access by the court, attorney users may make changes to their court account information by clicking Help > Court Profile or Person Icon > Court Profile.  Once in the court profile, click Edit on the right of the section to open the section for editing.

Profile Section Description

Attorney Info

Contact information including email, phone number, and mailing address.  Panel attorneys must provide their Social Security Number, NOT an EIN, in the Attorney Info section.  DO NOT enter an EIN here.

IMPORTANT: Copies of a W-9 must be provided to the court.  In addition, any changes to the SSN after the first login must be made through the Court.

Changes made to Address lines, City, State, Zip, Country, Phone and Fax WILL be applied to any linked accounts with the same SSN/EIN after one business day.

Changes made to Name, email, and Bar Number will NOT be applied to any other linked accounts with the same SSN/EIN.

Note: The email addresses in the email fields in the Attorney Info section are used by eVoucher to send workflow and system email messages, such as when a voucher is rejected or an appointment is made. Associate attorneys are not required to provide a Social Security Number.

Billing Info

Billing information must be entered before any payments can be processed. An attorney may have multiple billing records and/or addresses.

 

IMPORTANT: To ensure proper delivery of U.S. Treasury checks, view the topic Billing Address Recommendations and keep billing addresses up to date.

Changes made to this section of the court profile will NOT be applied to any other linked accounts with the same SSN/EIN.

Use the Accounts menu to switch to other linked accounts and make changes to each court profile Billing Info section separately.

 

Select the appropriate billing type:

 

Billing Type Description

Self-Employed

To select,  a valid SSN must first be entered in the Attorney Info section. Payments will be made to the attorney whose name is listed in the Attorney Info section and the check will be mailed to the address in the Billing Info section.

Firm

To select,  a valid SSN must first be entered in the Attorney Info section. Enter the EIN number for the firm. Payments will be made to the attorney whose name is listed in the Attorney Info section and the check will be mailed to the address in the Billing Info section. 1099's will be sent to the firm listed in the Billing Info section.

Associate

Enter the Billing Code for lead attorney. Payments will be made to the attorney whose billing code is entered.

 

IMPORTANT:  When adding a new billing record on an existing eVoucher account, go to any CJA 20/30 voucher in Voucher Entry and on the Basic Info tab, Payment Info section, select the new billing record in the Preferred Payee drop-down.

 

Holding Period

Date range to indicate unavailability to accept random appointments.  Courts can choose NOT to allow attorneys to update their own Holding Period.  If you do not see the Holding Period section on your Court Profile the court does not allow this functionality.

Area to log and track CLE credits.
