Create a Login.gov Account

Step

Action

1

Visit Login.gov or the eVoucher site for the district or circuit in which you perform CJA services and click the Sign in with Login.gov button.

NOTE:  If you would rather not use your personal Login.gov account used for other government services, like SSA and VA, to link to eVoucher, you may create a separate Login.gov account using another email address, like a work email address.

The email address used to sign in to Login.gov is not as important as ensuring that the account can be accessed using the selected MFA method. If the Login.gov account becomes inaccessible because the you have no way to receive a one-time code to sign in, then you will need to delete the Login.gov account and create a new one. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you set up multiple MFA methods.

7

IMPORTANT: After selecting an initial authentication method, it is HIGHLY recommended that you select a second authentication method when prompted to. The second method should be set up on a different device than the first authentication method. For example, if you set up your first method using an authentication app on your mobile device, then you should set up your second method to text or voice message on a DIFFERENT device. If you set both methods up on the same device, and you lose or replace that device, you will have no way to sign in with Login.gov. If this happens, you will be required to delete your Login.gov account and create a new one.

This completes the Login.gov account creation process.
